WINES
NOTES AND PARTICOLAR DETAILS
Refrontolo wanted to erect a monument to this rare, prestigious and characteristic wine to attract the attention of tourists and to commemorate the great Mozart who immortalised it in his work, Don Giovanni.
The monument, an excellent piece of work in wrought iron by Carlo Balliana, inaugurated in the spring of 1984, represents with impressive realism a vine with its trunk, its branches, its tendrils, its leaves and its bunches; in a musical and poetic atmosphere, symbolised by the bow and the violin, the images of Da Ponte and Mozart and a bucolic figure of a young girl were placed within a harmonious countryside context.
